Question
Hi,

I have a female Olde English Bulldogge, who is our only pet.  We have friends who have a male English Bulldog, and we'd like for them to have one litter of puppies.  Generally, Olde English Bulldogges are free whelpers, but since English Bulldogs usually need to deliver by cesarean section, I was wondering if our Olde English would need to have a c-section.

Hi Celeste, As you mentioned most Olde English can free whelp.  The English Bulldog mix will bring a large skull into the picture.  Your Olde English has a little larger pelvic area and may still be able to Free Whelp the pups.  You will need to work close with your Vet on her ultra sound and pelvic measurements.  ONLY time will tell if she can free whelp this litter.

Sorry, Only your Vet will be able to give you this info when the time comes to decide.
