Question
Bentley is my 1 1/2 year old male English Bulldog.  He weighs 68 pounds.  Our vet has been treating Bentley with Cephalexin and Prednisone for his skin allergies.  Every skin scraping is negative for Demadex(the mange).  After several months of this treatment I have decided that it is not effective or the proper treatment.  Bentley clears up and then as soon as the pred is stopped it comes back.  I am a registered nurse and understand the action of Prednisone and have decided to cease steroid treatment and try homeopathy.  

After doing some research, I believe that Bentley is suffering from yeast infection.  I would like to try yogurt and acidophillus but I am unsure what quantity and frequency to give him.  

Also, any suggestions for an earwash to treat his ears.  They are quite stinky with excessive waxy discharge.  

Bentley eats Taste of the Wild Bison and Venison.

Hi Bentley and Mom!  Yes, sure sounds like it may be an overgrowth of yeast!  
Glad you did get the skin scrape testing from the VET.
