QUESTION: We are taking Lilly to the vet for a bladder ultrasound.  She has been urinating in the house very frequently the last few days, while on 500mg of Cephalexin twice daily.  No other supplements are given.  She has had one or two blood stains (clots??) in her urine which has prompted this ultrasound.  Any stats on how this plays out with our 9 year old lilly?  She also has been "scooting" recently. she has had her anal sac expressed but not recently.  Is there any connection between the two ?  thanks for any insight.

ANSWER: Hi Josie, Lilly can be scooting because of the general pressure in her urethra.  I would love to see Lilly take a few supplements to help her avoid Urinary infections in the future.

QUESTION: Hi Marie,
We just find out her urine culture is negative, however we still have an adrenal and splenic mass found on ultrasound to deal with.  Lillys' urine is dilute, she does urinate frequently...at times in the house which she has never done before.  She is not aware that she is doing this.  Her renal and kidney function is good.  Her glucose is normal.  We are going for a follow-up adrenal panel Monday.  I'm thinking this could be functional Cushings' Syndrome.  Another finding was that one adrenal was hardly visible and the other was large  (I think 3 cms?).  Lastly, she does have bald spots on her legs (no hair) and bare patches on her back which are red and at times bleed.  Thanks for answering my previous posts. Oh yes... We are feeding Lilly IAMS (green bag) large breed PROACTIVE HEALTH.

I just have to let you know that your product has been a lifesaver.

My male Boston Terrier, age 12, was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease and the treatment was not working, in fact it appeared he was on the verge of death.
