I have a 3yo  Old Eng Bulldog who developes severe skin problems. He developes what looks like sores that are red in color become whitish and dry also, scaly. The hair around site falls out. He developes these  sores all over and large red patches on belly. He has runny eyes, nose and licks his paws freq during outbreak. He has been treated by vet x 3 with Prednisone and antibiotics. The vet said it is allergic and wants him allergy tested. The outbreaks are worse Spring, Summer and part of Fall He is fine in Winter. I keep in indoors during summer with AC. I am using antiseptic shampoo and wash him weekly to see if will help. He jus tfinished him med treatment and looks wonderful.
I feed him Purina One chicken hard dog food. Can you please tell me what you think?  Thanks

Amy, I would love to help you!!!  I am from Rhode Island but now live in South Carolina.
I have some great ideas ...  First thing is to change that food... It could be one of the main problems... I am sure you Old English bulldog has some food and environmental allergies.
It may be the grains in the food.
