QuestionCan you give me any information on lofts in historic buildings in the Burlington VT ? Anything upcoming ? I know about the Hinds. Is that a good location ? I also know about 237 North Avenue project. Is that a good area ? Is flooding a problem so close to Lake Champlain ?
AnswerHi Joanne -
The word "loft" is less often used here than I hope it will be in the future. But I've sifted through what's available in Burlington and have some properties to pass on to you which are (mostly) either historical and/or have views.
You haven't provided a price range, so I've looked at properties up to 1 million.
Flooding wouldn't be an issue with most of these properties I'd wager, but the federal flood insurance requirements - or lack thereof - are going to be part of the process should you decide to purchase, and that should be reassuring. It's unlikely flood insurance would be required.
The Hinds properties are in a location which I think is just wonderful - as are the Vermont House ones right across the street. They are both just footsteps from The Church Street Marketplace and just a short walk to Waterfront Park, the bikepath, the E.C.H.O. Center, the boathouse and so on. There are afew others nearly as well located.
I also know of another project I can get you further information on if you'd like to contact me directly. It's not ready yet and won't be for a while. I can also see that you recieve info automatically via email directly through my proprietary MLS service about properties which come on the market which meet your criteria. It's best if we talk before starting this up though so I can recognize what you're looking for when I see it...
Here are the properties I mentioned which you may want to browse through.
