is there a particular weekend in oct or nov. coming up u recommend a visit.love festivals,gatherings etc.i'm fasinated with vt's small towns and uniqueness .i'm a single middle aged male and enjoy exploring new places.
would appreciate recommendations on where to stay.prefer places with life to them and a mix of younger people.i like to meet new people and gather in the local flavor of wherever i visit.thanks

Perhaps the best source for this sort of information in this part of VT, The Greater Burlington Area, is Seven Days - the local news and arts weekly at www.7dvt.com. Their calendar section is pretty comprehensive. There's so much going on here, both in Burlington and outside it - that it's hard to keep track of without a source like this. Regarding places to stay - I'd try Sunset House B&B if you're looking to stay in Burlington. It's a short walk to both Waterfront Park and the bike path/boathouse/ECHO center, as well as to The Marketplace. Their are also many many motels on both Rte 7 and Rte 2 which are 10 minutes from town, and would allow easy access to (for instance) The Shelburne Museum and other local attractions as well as Burlington.
