Burlington, Vermont/Summer Move To Burlington?

Question
Hello,
I am a native midwesterner, but my husband and I visit Burlington several times a year - and have absolutely fallen in love with the area.  We were hoping to make the move this summer.  My work specializes in Alzheimer's Care/Therapy, and I'm looking into possibly applying with the Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.  My husband is a Welder and would probably have better luck working in Burlington.  Are there any nice towns in between the Burlington and Middlebury areas? Or are there places in Burlington that might have Alzheimer's Units that I could apply with?  Also, is one season better than another in terms of moving?  Any information would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Answer
Between Burlington and Middlebury are (traveling South on Route 7) South Burlington, Shelburne, Charlotte, North Ferrisburg, Ferrisburg, Vergennes, Waltham, New Haven and Weybridge. Then there are the towns not on Rt 7. Those include St George, Hinesburg, Monkton, Starksboro, Bristol and a few others. Single Family Homes can be found in these towns starting at less than $200,000.

I believe several nursing homes in the area have Alzheimer's units, and of course, there's Fletcher Allen Health Care up on the hill in Burlington. I can give you some phone numbers if you'd like to phone me this week. I don't have your email address or phone number of course, so please feel free to get in touch.

The question about what season to move is probably easiest: When you get a job offer... that's the best season to move...People move here at all times of the year - all 6 of our seasons offer thier own advantages and disadvantages!

Please let me know how I can help, and let me know when you'd like some more information about nursing homes and so forth.

Warmly,
