Question
David, We will be spending the night of July 4th in Burlington ... do you have a recommendation regarding a good place to view fireworks in the area... perhaps over the lake?

Thank you, Bill Mahan, Gresham, Oregon

Hello, Bill

Battery Park, or a spot on the West side of Battery Street, along the sidewalk, should be a good spot for viewing the fireworks.

There's also a city owned fishing pier behind the coast guard station which should be great.

Perkins pier should also be a good spot, as would the boardwalk at Waterfront Park.

You'll have the best luck on foot, so if you have the car with you, try to stash it early - perhaps at one of the municipal parking garages, or in a metered spot...well before you stroll down to the lakefront.

I hope that helps!
