Question
I will be coming to Burlington December 10 2009 and staying until February 10 , 2010.  I have a toy poodle dog.  The purpose of my trip is to help my daughter with her 3 children under the age of 4 while her husband is working out of the state for the 2 months.  Is there any kind of rooming house or furnished short term apartment rental in the area? Thanks.  Mary Beth

There are suite hotels catering to business travelers, but they are about 3000 a month.

Aside from that sort of thing, I'm not presently aware of anything like a rooming house.

Your best bet is simply to keep an eye on bulletin boards, looking for sublet and roomate situations.

I wish I had more for you, but I'm afraid I can't think of a better bet. You might simply try running an advertisement in 7 Days, our terrific local news and arts weekly, or somewhere on the www.
