Hi David,


My boyfriend and I are moving up to Burlington in the next couple of weeks. Since we are settling in a new city, we are looking for a short term or month to month lease. However, we have a dog and our max budget is around $1100/month. I've been avidly sending emails on craigslist and other websites but I'm having trouble finding a place that meets our needs and getting responses.

We are willing to be anywhere in the Burlington area within 15 miles. Do you have any advice or help you can give or specific realtors or landlords to get in contact with?

Hi Ashley -

I feel your pain: I was a renter with a dog for years once upon a time. It's really difficult.

Having said that - You'll find something. There is a needle in that haystack somewhere...

I'd suggest contacting Preston Property Management. They're on the www.
The other suggestion is Curt Wheeler, but if you've looked on Craigslist, you've seen what he has. He's another person who manages property for owners, as Preston does.

There's a third person I know, and he's my favorite landlord because he takes really good care of his buildings and tenants adore him. But he only has a limited number of apartments, his own, and I don't like to give his info out because he's already swamped with calls. But I'll phone Peter for you and if he has anything opening up, I'll respond again to this message.
