Hi David,

We are moving to Burlington in August and we are going to be buying a house somewhere in the area.  Are there any neighborhoods that are in the 200-250K range that have neighborhood pools/clubhouses/parks that sort of thing?  Developments with built-in neighborhood associations?

Also, are there gyms in Burlington that provide daycare for Moms working out?  I searched on line and the only place that came up was Twin Oaks on Farrell street and a rec club in Shelburne.  Is there anywhere else that you know of?

Shanna - I'm following up on your question about child care in Health Clubs. As I mentioned - there are some Condo Associations with pools. Did you get the link I sent? I believe it included some of these Condos.
I've now had a chance to telephone various gyms/health clubs. I'd had no luck getting through on previous attempts. The best bet seems to be The Sports and Fitness Edge / Twin Oaks / Racquets Edge folks. I believe they have 3 locations. They do have on site child care.  www.sfedge.com www.twin-oaks.com. There are 3 locations. The YMCA also offers on site child care - 1 802 862 9622.
Then there are a few with ROOMS for kids, but no supervision. They are All American Fitness and Tanning and The Athletic Club of VT.

Please forgive the late response. I don't know how to tell the site I'm away for a few days...

I'm back now - but it's Memorial Day and I'm not getting answers at the various health clubs I'm calling today.

I'm not aware of any neighborhoods of single-family homes which offer pools.  
Several Condo communities have neighborhood pools though.

I'll make the calls to health clubs again and get back to you asap. It would surprise me greatly if childcare wasn't common at the better health-clubs and gyms.
