QUESTION: I realize this is a pretty narrow question, but I was wondering if anyone is familar with the adult ice hockey scene in Burlington. I'm most interested if there are leagues year round and the amount of interest in the community.

QUESTION: Thanks David,
I'm aware of fullstride, but was hoping to get an insider's view on the scene. My problem is I'm spoiled: I currently live and teach near Cincinnati Ohio, with a pretty active adult hockey scene. The university where I teach also has a very active intramurals hockey program (even for old farts like me;-) It doesn't seem that UVM has quite the same level of oportunity (for non-varsity/club level play.) So I'd need to scratch my hockey itch outside the ivory tower.

Again, I realize this is a pretty narrow topic. Thanks so much for your response.

I wish I knew more, but not playing Hockey myself, I'm not an insider. I'm a skier myself.

I'll ask a friend who plays and see what he can tell you.

Are you moving to the Burlington area? I could introduce you to a couple of people when you get here. Also my daughter is a figure skater and probably knows who I should ask. I believe the fullstride idea was hers actually.
