Bush, Kate/"Fruitopia" - what is this reference?

Question
I have seen some references to Kate "doing" some songs with someone or a band called "Fruitopia".

Is this a band?
Was there a release on CD/LP?

Thank you,
B

Answer
Hello,

Fruitopia is a brand name of a soft drink of Minute Maid (part of Cola Cola). Kate has made the music for 8 commercials of Fruitopia in 1994. As far as I know it has never been released on CD.

You can download the commercials on this page:

(underneath "Kate's Message to BushCon 1984" on the left side of the page, a bit in the middle)

I hope this answers your question.

Kind regards,

Birgitte
