Bush, Kate/Kate Bush On Stage

Question
I've got a Kate set--apparently a boot--called "This Woman's Complete Work" that contains the 4 cuts from her On Stage 7"/12"s and some of her Hammersmith concert. I've seen several sources that say the On Stage cuts are from Hammersmith, but playing them side-by-side clearly shows they're different. I know Kate's only tour was in Europe in '79, but a message on this site from 2/26/02 indicates the On Stage appearance actually was in Canada. Can you confirm that and if so the date? Was it connected to her December '78 trip to New York for her "Saturday Night Live" appearance? If neither of these, do you know where/when those On Stage tracks were recorded?  thanx.  jerry

Answer
Jerry, the on stage tracks were recorded from shows at Hammersmith Odeon as were the other live tracks. There were a number of performances on different nights to choose tracks from which is why they sound different. As is common practise with recordings of live songs some parts may have been re-recorded. Also mixing can have an effect.
