What does kate mean with the words.
If they find me racing white horses-
they'll not take me for a buoy?

I have heard "white horses" refers to the white bubbles on wavetops that occurs at sea. So I believe this line refers to the hope that if they move about by "racing white horses" then they will not be mistaken as a buoy out at sea, and they will be saved.
