Question
what is the song breathing about? also any additional informaion or interesting story behind wuthering heights?

thanks
tom

Answer
Tom, breathing is about nuclear bombs and fallout. From the perspective of an unborn child (have you seen the video btw? Kate is in a transparent plastic bubble that symbolizes a womb). The lyrics are really worth paying close attention to.
As for WH Kate was inspired by a film of Wuthering Heights (not sure which one) rather than the book which she read later. If I remember properly she wrote it all on one late moonlit night in her flat in London with the windows wide open. I wonder if the neighbours understood that their disturbed sleep marked a significant moment in popular music lol! Other than that the only other thing that springs to mind is that Kate and Emily Bronte share the same birthday!
