Question
Furniture in Georgia, they are calling me still today because of the fact they came and picked up the furniture from my house and never resold it, so they expect me to pay for it .  I don't think that is right

Thank you for your inquiry. You did not mention if the store you purchased from provided financing directly or if this was a "rent to own" situation. However, your contract with them should indicate what they are entitled to do if a default on repayment should occur. In the case of items like automobiles, when repossessed, the lender has the obligation of attempting to resell and then go after whatever portion of monies are owed not covered by that sale. If you are simply not sure, you should look up consumer advocacy groups in your state that can or might have the ability to advise you on your rights in this purchase.
