Question
QUESTION: Our business currently has approximately $70k in debt with which we are not able to keep up, lately.  Between an almost year long illness, not enough cash flow, etc., it has gotten progressively worse.  We have one credit card, one credit line and one lease (which is due to be paid in full by June .. but the $3k a month payment is now impossible).  Is it possible that a firm specializing in this could help?

ANSWER: Dear Lauran:
Thank you for your inquiry. I regret that you are in such a difficult situation. Yes, it is very possible that your debt can be managed and settled through professional debt mediation. In most cases, this would enable you to enroll in a program, whereby your monthly minimum payments should be less than what you are required to make now and also enable your debts to be discounted and settled for less time and money than you could achieve on your own. You can also inquire with an attorney to explore if you qualify to file for Bankruptcy protection in your state.  If you are interested in the former option; I do represent such a firm, and invite you to contact me for a confidential no cost or obligation evaluation through our website www.franklinmediation.com. Please fill out a Request for Consultation and reference that I referred you for assistance. If you reside within our service area, myself or a competent debt specialist will be in contact promptly to assist you. Otherwise we can direct you to a firm that can assist you.

Hang in there, for every problem there is a solution.

Respectfully,
Christine Janklow
