Question
Can you give me any direction as to how I can do collections from home. I have been working for the same agency for 7 years. I have collected from auto deficiency, &,credit cards to defaulted federal student loans & dept of rev state taxes. I am sooo ready to spend more time at home, even if its not making quite as much money.  I have searched online for weeks trying to find a collections agency that allows at-home collections, but have had no luck. I'm so ready to be able to watch my child grow up & attend his sporting events. Can you possibly point me in any direction?

Answer
Brandi,
Are you working for an agency now? Would they consider letting your work from home for them?
If you are not ready to start your own full fledged collection agency, maybe you would be interested in a franchise, this way you can work from home but under an umbrella. Check out my website for a link to a company that only does Collection agency franchises, it is called National1.
If you are interested in starting an agency from home, check out my book "Starting a Collection Agency" which will tell you in great detail how to start an agency, specifically from your home. I started my agency from home and then wrote this book which is on its second printing. You can read more about the book at http://www.michelledunn.com/book_sca2nd.html and also at www.amazon.com
