Answer
Cindi:
Thank you for your inquiry. I regret that you and your organization have been jeopardized and violated in such an irresponsible way, especially by someone whom you all trusted. It is difficult for me to provide advice since I am uncertain of who is actually liable for the debt at this point. You may want to consult with an attorney, so you can better understand what steps can be taken at this point to resolve the debt issues. As for what you should do, the best choice is always to be honest and forthright in explaining the facts of the matter. You did make an effort to stop use of the card, and that should say something about your level of concern in the matter. I wish you the best in addressing the issue, and hope that your committee won't penalize you for someone elses sins.

Respectfully,
