Question
I was promoted to Senior Vice President Operations and need to order my business cards. So now I am wondering how should I use my title. Here are all the options I found, which is the most appropriate, powerful one?

SVP Operations
Sr. VP Operations
Senior VP Operations
Sr. Vice President Operations
Senior Vice President Operations

Not sure if this has any influence but the name to appear in the card is only 2 words Name (7 letters) Last name (7 letters)

thanks!

Answer
Claudia,

"Senior Vice President" or "Vice President" titles include a role/operation or business
practice name, NOT just the name of the Group.

Unacceptable:
Senior Vice President,
Industrial/Process Group

Acceptable:
Vice President, Operations Support
Industrial/Process Group

SVP is a more contemporary/modern approach and used often, you may want to consider your industry and client base when choosing the more modern consideration.  Hope this helps!  Let me know if you have further questions.
