Question
Hello, my name is Scott.

I am a very literary and foreign language-based person but
would love to nonetheless pursue a career in international
business. I plan on going to a small liberal arts school at which
the only thing close to business is Economics. I understand and
am fascinated by the philosophical and qualitative aspects of
economics, but the analytical and mathematics parts scare me
completely. I am terribly at mathematics, and I haven't taken
calculus, a required course for an econ. minor.

When applying to Business Graduate School, do I really need an
Economics degree (whether major or minor?) Am I doomed for
the GMAT because of this? Could I perhaps focus my studies
international relations or something along those lines and still
be successful in the business world or at a business graduate
school?

Thanks,

Scott

Answer
Scott,

You might want to try the http://argosyu.edu site. We have over 72 campuses, and have online eduction. We were just sold to Goldman, and will become private. We are under the parent of Education Management, or symbol EDMC. You do not need the GMAT with us. We are fully accredited to the PhD or DBM level. You could major in marketing instead of the math end, and move without delay through the programs of your choice. We have over 20 different types of MBAs to select.
