Question -
I am currently working on my Master's degree in management at Southern Nazarene University. I also received my undergraduate degree from there. I have an associates degree in Telecommunications from Rogers State University. My question is whether or not future employers will take my Master's degree seriously? Sothern Nazarene University is accredited, but so is UOP and I have heard that many fortune 500 companies don't respect UOP degrees much. Any input on this?

Shain,
Not sure what UOP means. Check out the accredition careful, who accredited, and confirm that this is correct. Do not take for granted that the school is accredited, and be very complete on your research.
It does sound as if this particular school is accredited by some religious body? If so, you might have a black mark following your degree, unless your objective is to remain in this area as a minister. Companies are looking for experienced and well qualified students.
If you school is regionally accredited, then confirm this. If it is not correctly accredited, then you might want to transfer to another school before you run into a stigma.

AnswerI taught at UOP. I did not like the style of teaching, and quit. I would say that it is perfectly accredited. UOP would be completely satisfactory to employers, and many employers pay for their employees to go there. Again, this UOP has much "group" work in projects per class, and not my style. I am a more one on one professor.
I do not see the accreditation posted on the SNU site. This would concern me, if I was a student. I spent sometime looking on the site, and see no statement of accredition with hyperlink to the body that has accredited the SNU. I see no posting of the professor and the degrees that they have. Yes, I would explore directly with SNU the complete information and in writing from them on accreditation. Most universities post this and not difficult to find this information out on each and every university that I have seen.
