I am looking for a program that you can key in the the cities you travel to by car from place to place and at the end of the trip will tell you the total no of miles traveled and broken by by state. Can you help me? TIA

I don't know of any software that will break it down like that. I do know that Delorme's Street Atlas can create a route where you can include several stops. You can add a stop for whenever you cross a state border. You could, then export the routin listing to a spreadsheet and calculate the mileage by state that way.
