Question Hi,
I'm very new/dumb to computers & I find I have to buy & begin to use Adobe Acrobat 7 or better in my job.
I have the reader part free on my computer, but cannot scan & send PDF(I think that's the right name)files.
I see ads on ebay & the internet & in the computer stores for version 7 & 8 with prices ranging from $20-to-$249.
I'm confused in I don't know which to buy & how to use or load it.
On top of that my newer 3-in-1 Hp scanner want work(error message reads 'no scan options-you need to install or run device software for feature'.
I'm a mess-PLEASE help !!!

Answer First, if all you need to so is create plain PDFs from scans, then you can getby with a generic PDFMaker. You can download CutePDF, which us a freebie. This creates a PDFwriter in your Printer list. So to create a PDF you simply select the CutePDFwriter as your printer.
However, if you need to create some of the advanced features like security and forms, you will need the full version of Acrobat.
As for the scanner, did you install the software that came with it?
