Question
Do web businesses like Office Max have an inventory management tool in their software?
Where can I find information about building a site for the purpose of managing items going out of our own storeroom inventory for multiple departments within our organization?
Again, much like the process of purchasing outside of our organization from a web based business.

I believe both Office Max and Staples have modules that will enable you to manage inventory, at least of items you purchase from them. If you have a contract with either talk to your sales rep about it.

As to a web based inventory management sytems that can be used by multiple locations, I'm sure they exist, but I'm not really aware of any specifics.

Of course you could always roll your own.
