Expert: Scottgem - 4/20/2009
Questionhi mr. scottgem, i am munsif ali, commerce graduate from pakistan. i have come across many websites, some of them are simple databases, and some of them calculate figures too. now, how complex calclations , a business software can perform. for instance, i am looking for a software which could perform automatic calculations. for instance, I own a bank, which has computer database/ software installed on windows xp , which manages transactions in customer's current account and other accounts such as profit and loss account, and fixed deposit accounts. now, for instance, i have a special current account manager software. One of its specialities is that, it automatically checks, a certain level of sum in current account, and deducts service charges, monthly.
amount range monthly service charges
______________________ ____________________
10 u.s. dollar to 1000 u.s.$ 0.50 $
1000 to 10,000 $ 1.00 $
10,000 to 50,000 $ 1.50 $
50,000 to 99,000 $ 2.00 $
99,000 to 2,00000 $ 2.50 $
above 2,00000 u.s. $ 3.00 $
now my bank's software will automatically check the sum range in customer's current account at the end of each month i.e. on 31st, or 28th feb, at about 11:59 pm, and will bring an automatic transaction in the ledger as follows,
date description debit cred. bal
____ ____________ ____ ____ ____
31-4 ser.charg. 1.50 30,000 u.s $
can you please refer me to any such business sftware , which automatically perfom accounting functions.
further , that business software will also bring overall service charges credited in bank' income account. Hoping thru my model presentation, you must have understood my question.
regards

AnswerThere are dozens. Any accounting software can perform calculations. Any banking software can be set to automatically deduct fees.
You really need to loo at the specific application you want, then search for software in that category. One good place to search for software for a specific industry is in trade journals.
Hope this helps
