Business Software - using Word 2007 and Word 2003 on the same hard drive

Expert: Scottgem - 7/23/2009

Question
hi Scott, nice to meet you?

I have Windows XP and MS Word 2003 and Excel 2003 on my computer.
Can I install AND EASILY USE MS WORD 2007 ON THIS COMPUTER or are there compatibility problems?

Thanks

Chris

Answer
I had Ofice 97, Office 2k, Office XP, Office 2003 and Office 2007 all on the same XP machine at one point. The key is to install them in chronological order. So first install 2003 and then 2007.

The only Office app that can't coexist is Outlook.

Hope this helps,
Scott<>
