QUESTION: Can you tell me what type of software I could use for my Title Service company (Car registrations, tags, titles). MVD is telling me it's a program called SNABA. I can't find anything by that name. I would need to correspond with the MVD while processing this transactions, or any program that I could use to process this transaction and I can simply enter the information directly on MVD website. ANSWER: Hi Nicole,

This is out of my expertise, but will try to help you. I may need some information first. What state are you from? Perhaps we can look up the correct spelling of the software you need from that state's MVD website. I personally have never heard of SNABA.

Do you perhaps need an Asset management or a customer relationship software? It will help you keep a tab on whom (your clients) have you done title/registration/etc services for, and when do they expire? You can use your database to keep a tab on your sales performance and also remind your customers to renew their registration.

Perhaps you need the information formatted in a particular format in order to submit it to the MVD.

Hence in order for me to help you, kindly revert back with the above info and I will try my best to answer your question.

I did a little googling for registration software in general and found one by 3M. Please see if this meets your requirements. If it does, then we will also see if there are any alternatives and a better fit for your needs and budget.

I took a look at your state's MVD website and found that there is currently no recognized software by the MVD that will perform the services that you request. I quote the below from MVD's webpage at...

Please do check up the correct spelling of the software you referred to either from the MVD or your original source. The website may have not been updated to reflect the new software. Nevertheless, you can perform some transactions such as registration renewal and title and registration records search, etc. for your customers online, for which you will get a discount, on the MVD's website at...

You will also get a copy of the record that you can share/pass on to your customers.

Perhaps what you need is a software that can store your customer's information in a database and use it to fill information online. Such softwares are called Macros, but with a lack of supported standards on the MVD website, you would be better of storing your customer's information in Excel or Access and then manually copying them into the MVD's website.

QUESTION: Ok I thank you for all your help,I guess what I was looking
for is I went to a locally owned title service in my area to
renew my registration and she print my certificate of
registration out for me on the spot it had all my car
information and my new tag. Thats what I will need to do for
my customers. I went to the MVD website to do it myself and
I was going to have to wait 10 business days for my tags to
arrive you can't print it out right there and then. I won't
be a title service if I can't offer that to my customers.

Sorry I couldn't be of better use to you as this area is not within my domain knowledge. I would suggest you contact your local MVD office or the other agency who printed out the title on the spot. I can perhaps be of better help if you need to evaluate more than one software or if you need help installing it.
