Business Software/Organisational Charts for email distribution lists

QuestionQUESTION: Hello,
I am looking to create a user friendly organisational chart broken down into regions/countries under which individual names and/or email addresses would be inputted.
the idea would be that once the names are in the chart, i could extract these and merge them into an email.
the purpose of this is for training and to be able to maintain an current database of names. the idea would be for regional managers to enter the names of their team into the chart and then it would be possible for me to extract these names and merge them into an email.
I have Visio 2007, and while i confess to being a novice, it seems to me that the pivot organisaion chart requires data to be extracted from XLS or other database source to form the organisational chart which is not what i am after. i want the organisational chart to be the source/database of names.
I am happy to consider something off the shelf but i do not know where to start.

i have Visio 2007 but
ANSWER: You can use Visio without setting up a database. But that means that you don't get automatic updates. There used to be a product called ORG that did nothing but oprg charts.

AnswerThat's why I said a "there USED to be..." ;) Haven't seen it for a while so don't know if they are still around. You can try this google search:
