QuestionQUESTION: Respected Sir,
I have to develop a software based on ERP ,Is C sharp(Microsoft technologies languages) can use for the same or is there any special language for developing ERP software.
Thanks,
Ravi Bhushan
ANSWER: Dear Ravi,
Which ERP Platform are you working on? All ERP Platforms (SAP/MS Dynamics/ORACLE/etc) have their own in-built Programming Tools that are integrated into their ERP environment.
If you want to design and implement an external application that integrates with one of these ERPs, then you will need to read up on the requisite documentation. Usually, all ERPs support Webservices to communicate with other applications. This is possible in .Net.
Perhaps, if you let me know more about your need, I can help better.

AnswerHi - If you need to design a specific software for a potential customer with a specific set of requirements, then you can simply use a software development tool such as DotNet or Java. ERPs are usually bought from existing vendors through some channel partner and tailored toward customer needs. It is meant for a big company with 1000s of transactions every day/month. It is not possible to physically complete an ERP implementation alone.
