I'm in insurance sales - am looking for a software that i can use to keep track of all my customers. It has to be able to keep records and also notify me when renewal dates, birthdays and other events come up. Also would be good if it can directly link to send out emails or mailmerge letters.
can you recomment one thats below US$100?

If you have Microsoft Office, you can use Outlook for just about all of that.

The only 2 CRM (Customer Relation Management) packages that I know about specifically are ACT and Goldmine. But they are outside your budget and probably more than you need.

Try searching at the shareware libraries like Download.com and Tucows.com for "Customer Relations" software. The advantage of shareware is that you can try before you buy to see if it meets your needs.
