QuestionHi Scottgem:), I am a rookie:) I bought a canon canoscan FB 320P/FB 620P. I loaded the software with no problems in windows 95. Now I am using windiws 98, and it calls for a twain driver, which I downloaded at the canon site. For some reason I keep getting a message to check my connections (they are good) and for some reason the software is not working properly. I have uninstalled it 2 times, and reloaded, but still having the same problems?! can you help? I have my printer hooked up to the back of the scanner and the scanner hooked into the paralell on the computer..hhhmmmm. I can hear the scanner come on when I turn on my computer, but stillo when I start to scan I get the same message:(
also: For some reason my explorer 5 toolbar is keeping my history I search in dictionary.com? have no earthly idea what happened here. hope u can help me. thank you for your help sooo much:) have a goood day:) donna:)
AnswerFirst, You also have to make sure you have the correct drivers for Win 98 for the Canon. Not jsut the Twain drivers, but the whole package. Download all this, and then remove the scanner from your system completely (do this in Device Mgr). Then reinstall it.
As to the history, IE does maintain a history, always has. You can clear this history by going to Tools>Internet Options and then select the General tab.
Hope this helps,
