Business Software/Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

QuestionI bought a new computer in Nov.with WindowsXP. I transferred all my documents to the new computer. I opened a document to revise it and at the bottom it said I was locked out. Then a window appeared with this content: Microsoft Office Standard Edition ..........Activation Wizard ....Your copy of Microsoft Office trial expired on Mon. Feb. 28. Many features are unavailable until you convert to the full product. ..........If you do not want to covert to the full product, you may use the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel to remove the software from your computer..........I will have to purchase this software and I don't want to unless I have to. If I remove the Microsft Office, will I lose my documents?, Will I still be locked out? Does this mean I have a partial product?!! I need to know what to do and how to do it. Thank you for any info you can give.

AnswerNew PCs come with a 60 day trial of Office. If you don't purchase and activate it, it locks you out after 60 days.
You won't lose your documents if you uninstall, but I would back them up anyway just to be sure.
If you don't purchase Office, you will need to get some software that works with the Office formats.
