Business Software/Microsoft Office upgrade

Question
Hi, Scott. I don't know whether this is within your experience - but here goes. My company currently standardises on Office97, but we are looking to upgrade (approx 2000 PCs as thick client). Ihave got information from Microsofts website on upgrading to Office 2003. However, we also need to consider upgrading directly to Office2007. Do you know if this is possible, and can you point me in the direction of any articles/weblinks etc which may be of help as I cannot find any. Hope you can help. Regards  Graham

Answer
Sure its possible. Office 2007 will open files of any prior version. You can choose to save the files in 2007 format or the original format. I don't know of any specific discussions on this, but if you search on Upgrade to Office 2007 you should find stuff. While there will be a learning curve, it shouldn't be bad from a compatibility standpoint.

Hope this helps,
Scott<>
