Question -
Who can I talk to about installing this program from www.oscommerce.org? I need some affordable (or free) help getting it running.

I've uploaded it to my server and that's as far as I've gotten. Well, maybe I've unzipped the file, but I don't like the directories it created. Am now going to play with the FTP program(s) to try moving various folders around on the server, trying to get the program installed. Know anyone to assist?

Did you look for a Help or Contact Us link on the site?

Answer
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Its one of the main ways that files are transferred across the Internet. Without knowing what FTP client you are using or what you are trying to do, its hard to help.

Generally, you use an FTP client to connect to a remote file server. The client should show you a list of folders and files both on your local PC and the remote FTP server. In most cases, transfering files is as simple as drag and drop. Or highlighting a file and clicking a send or receive button.
