I'm looking for software that an Art Gallery might use, that could also double as a website. Do you know of any? This would have inventory control, artists bios, photographs, income/expense ledgers etc all integrated. Or am I asking the impossible?

I don't know of any specific software, but most database apps can handle it. What I would do is check in trade journals for Art Gallery operators. That's where software vendors congregate.

I'm not sure, however, whether I would try to put all these eggs into one basket. You might checkout Quickbooks. Its an accounting program that should handle the ledger and inventory. It might even do the artist bios.

If you are interested in a custom application I would be willing to discuss it further with you. As a Microsoft Access Developer, it would not be too difficult to setup an app to do almost all you describe. The only issue depends on what you mean by "double as a WEB site". I think you will find the cost reasonable and comparable to any application specialized for this purpose.
