Business Software/electronic signature

Question
How do I do an electronic signature?  Some transcribing services take a handwritten signature on a piece of paper and convert that into their system and can apply an electronic signature to documents. I want to know how I can do that.

Answer
If you have a scanner you scan your signature (I suggest using a med point felt tip pen) and save it as a file (TIF is the best option). You can then insert that file into most word processors.

I would caution against using this when sending documents electronically. You really don't want to make it easy for someone to have a copy of your signature.
