Business Software/filling in forms

Question
Say someone sends me a form to fill in, I want to scan it into my computer, fill it in, then print the bits I've filled in onto the original form. What kind of software would I need?

Answer
Check out scansoft.com. They have two packages that will do this. OmniForm is designed specifically for this purposes. You scan the form and it will attempt to determine the fill in areas. You can then type in those areas and print out the form. You can adjust the areas it finds, add your own or do it all manually.

They also include a module called FormTyper in Paperport. I use Parperport and have done this several times. It works great. And Paperport comes with a lot of other tools for managing scanned items.

Hope this helps,
