Business Software/using MS Project

QuestionI am not sure if I am asking the right person because I don't find any specific category for MS Project. Anyway, I have the Start and Finish column in my Project file but I couldn't set it to display the time also. The data I imported from Excel has a date plus the time. The date is imported successfully but not the time. I have tried importing it as both value and text. But the wierd thing is even I tried typing in the time mannually, it didn't show up. I also tried the Format then layout on the drop down menu choosing a format with date and time for display. They all don't work!!! Thanks in advance and in case if you are not the person to ask please suggest an expert.
AnswerMicrosoft stores dates and time using Julian type dates. The date is the number of days since 12/31/1899 and the time is a decimal fraction of a day. So 6AM would be .25.
Therefore, displaying a date time field is a matter of formatting the display, not the way the data is stored. I'm not sure what you did on formatting, or importing. But if the data displayed as date and time in Excel, then you should be able to format to display date and time in Project.
Hope this helps,
