Question
What is the correct written form to says it's 6 a.m.

It is:
6a.m. (no space after six and small letters)
6 a.m. (space after six and small letters)
6A.M.(no space after six and caps)
6 A.M. (space after 6 and caps)
Which, if any, is correct?   When you answer, please show it, as I may forget what I wrote out! Thanks

Answer
Don,

You should check the company or school style manual for the final word on the correct format for your organization. American Psychological Association (APA) give the following as the correct format.

6:00 a.m.

If you use military time (a 24 hour clock), you do not use the distinction of a.m. or p.m.

BTW, your question should appear with this answer, so you can see if you guessed correctly.
