Business & Technical Writing/Business and Technical Writing-is there a difference

Question
HI--I was wondering if you can tell me the difference between technical writing courses and business writing courses.

Answer
Generally, technical writing has to do with the specific requirements of technical documentation and how to meet them. It will be mostly concerned with how to write clear and useful technical manuals and online documentation.

Business writing could be a much broader range of writing and might include how to write letters and memos, white papers, proposals, sales materials, job descriptions, and so forth. It might include how to write any of the documents that might be used in business.

Hope this helps.
