Question
Thanks for the information on the format about not putting the comma after the year; however, this does not answer the original question of where is it OK to have this sentence break at the end of the line (when the date is at the end of the line)Here is the example again.

This letter is to confirm your appointment change with (Therapist's Name)to Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.

The software is wanting to break the sentence after "February 20," with "2007 at 10:30 a.m." on the following line. This is the part that looks wrong to me(although it could have been the extra comma that was catching my eye).

Thanks again for your help!

-----Question-----
How do you (or can you) divide a date that is written out at the end of a line in a paragraph? For example--This letter is to confirm your appointment change with Therapist's Name to Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. It naturally wants to break after the comma following the date 20. This does not look right to me.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.
-----Answer-----
Hi Michelle,

The correct format is Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 10:30 am.  You do not put a comma after the year.

Answer
Hi Michelle,

I'm sorry I didn't answer your question properly.  After the month and day, february 20, is a correct place to divide the typed line. The comma gives a natural break point.  If that isn't eye-appealing to you, you might consider expressing the date numerically,i.e., 2/20/2007, which should eliminate the problem of the date being split rather than the entire date being on the same line.  Numerical date expression is acceptable in informal writings.

Take care.
