Question I need to write about 50 thank you notes for cash donations from a non profit organization thankinf them and subtly ask for continued support please help me word these
Answer Hi, Paula:
Given the length restrictions here, I would be unable to actually WRITE the letter/note for you. However, I would suggest you to visit this link:
They do an exemplary job of explaining what to do in your precise situation. Suffice it to say, I agree with what they advise: never thank a donor in a charitable situation and then ask, or even suggest, a need for more donations in the same thank you message.
Right now this is the chance for your organization to shine by simply and gracefully saying "thank you for your support!” You can always solicit donations in a follow-up marketing campaign, which is as it should be.
Good luck with your mailing and all your future fundraising campaigns!
