Question
How do you write a notice of a meeting to be held soon?

Answer
Hi Milkah,

The most efficient way of notifying folks of a meeting is to send a memo letting folks know the purpose of the meeting, date, time, place, length of meeting, who's expected to attend, what, if anything, folks should bring to the meeting and whom to contact should they be unable to attend. A sample follows.

Re:   Staff Meeting

There will be a one-hour office meeting for all staff on
Monday, April 9, 2007, 9:00am in our conference room.  Chief Doyle will be presenting important new policy information regarding employee leave time.  Bring your office policy manual to the meeting with you. Light refreshments will be served.

Consult your supervisor if you are unable to attend.
