The Causes of College-Student Stress
In some colleges today, a student who are entering his or her first year of college end up having a lot of stress. Stress can make a student fail a course or even make a student sick. The cause of a college-student stress is the load of work, the cram of exam, and the pressure of friends.
First of all, the cause of college-student stress is the workload he or she gets from school. A student has more projects to finish and trying to catch up on work what they miss. For example, a student fell that they are under demands. Some students do their work one night before the assignment is due. A student might skip class or go on his or her lunch break to do the assignment. Also, a student worried if they did not put a lot of information in their assignment it worth an A+.
Second of all, the cause of college-student stress is the cramming of exam. A student worries a lot about quizzes and tests that worth more marks. For example, a student fell that they are hassled. Some students do a lot of studying at the last minute believing they know all the materials in one night; even staying up all night studying not getting enough sleep. Also, students are always worried a lot about what is going to be on the test, or they believe they have not studied hard enough for the test. Students think that they will fail the test, for this can lead to feeling upset. For instance, if a student fails a course, they might give up trying and not be able to not focus on their other courses.
Third of all, the cause of college-student stress is when a student is pressure. A student maybe pressure into doing drugs or doing alcohol instead of doing work. For instance, a student does not want to ask his or her friends questions about school work because a student might believe that their friends will give them the wrong answer or they believe that their friends do not care and insist them to go out party. A student might also feel embarrassed by asking their friends because they think they will laugh at them.
In conclusion, a student who is suffering from stress is cause by work load of work, cram of exam, and pressure of friends. If a student manages their time, pay attention, go to class everyday, and reviewing their notes two days a week, a student may reduced stress and have the ability to pass their second and maybe their third year of college and is able to graduate with a diploma.
Answer This is generally well written, but I do have a few suggestions. You will be better off in prose of this type by simply writing consistently in the plural. That avoids the awkwardness of "his/her" constructions. Only use the singular when you have a particular person in mind. Then you use that person's gender.
Avoid words that don't add meaning. "Of all" adds nothing to "first, second, and third." If I find anything else as I go through this, I'll add it as a parenthetical comment at the place. That said, try this:
In some colleges today, students who are beginning their first year of college end up having a lot of stress. Stress can make students fail courses or even sick. The main causes of stress for college students are the load of work, the cram of exams, and the pressure of friends.
Probably the first cause of (that's not technically incorrect, but it sure is awkward) stress is the school workload. Student have more projects to finish than is frequently possible, and they are always trying to catch up on work. Some students do their work one night before the assignment is due, and many skip classes or use lunch breaks to do assignments instead of relaxing with their meals. Also, students worry whether they have put a lot of information in their assignment.
A second cause of stress is cramming for exams. Students worry a lot about quizzes and tests that are worth more marks. For example, student may feel that they are hassled. Some students do a lot of studying at the last minute, believing they can learn all the materials in one night. Many even stay up all night studying and not getting enough sleep. Also, students are always worried about what is going to be on tests and believe they have not studied hard enough for tests. Students who think that they might fail wind up feeling upset. And if they actually fail, they might give up trying and not be able to not focus on their other courses.
A third cause of stress for students is when students feel so much pressure that they might be led into doing drugs or doing alcohol instead of doing work. For instance, students may not want to ask questions about school work of friends because they might believe that their friends will give them the wrong answer or that their friends will not care. Uncaring friends might insist they go out and party instead of study. Students might also feel embarrassed by asking their friends because they think they will laugh at them.
In conclusion, students suffer from stress caused by workload, cramming for exams, and pressure from friends. But students who manage their time, pay attention, go to class every day, and review their notes two days a week will probably reduce stress and succeed in college at the same time.
