I was wondering if you do proofreading a letter of professional inquiries.

I am a school teacher and trying to be certified by the board of education in Illinois. The letter enquires their current policy of certifying teachers.

I can proof read, but you would be better off asking a high school teacher in Illinois to look at your letter. My reason for suggesting this alternative solution is that experience with the certification process may be essential to offering the most effective message.

May I suggest that you take your letter to the local high school where the English teachers would have experience with the certification board and English grammar. There is no shame in finding an editor for anything written; even the best of authors have an editor. Getting someone with some expertise in the system is a plus.
