About Joel Linton Expertise I have travelled on business to 37 countries in the past 4 years -- visiting 4 or 5 major cities in one 7-day trip ! All this out of Chicago (my home base). I can assist with itinerary planning, suggestions what to pack, how to get to locations, and can answer general questions about what to do during non-work time, and how to survive "on your own" on the road. I have a few "tips" on how to make a 7 to 10 hour plane ride more comfortable, less jet-lagged and what to take on board to assist.

Question Your itroduction sounds like you might know how to help me, I hope so.
I'm interested in knowing what job enables a person to travel extensively. I'm not a professional or anything. I'm looking to get out and see the world!
I miss traveling. My dad was military at one time and that enabled me to stay on the road. Since his passing, that's not possible and I'm not of age to join the military no longer, yet I'm young enough to get around.
Any suggestions?
Answer The first option that comes to my mind is to suggest that you seek employment with an airline -- to the best of my knowledge, airline employees get travel perks (heavily discounted tickets) no matter what job/department or level. You need to check that out from each airline (American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, etc ... and even a few of the interenational companies.
I do not know where you are located but am sure you will find the opportunity if you research the options.
I have heard that employees of hotels also get benefits that might give you the opportunity to travel as well.
Other options:
1.)Seek employment at any International companies -- eg Colgate
2.) Travel overseas -- and seek employment there (might need special working visas in certain countries)
Hope this assists .. please will you reply to the site survey when they contact you about my reply and service to you
Good luck and all the best to you in whatever you pursue
