Business Travel - American average meal allowances

Expert: Norman L. Rose - 8/31/2006

Question
Dear Norm,
I am a traveling supervisor for a Exhibit design firm, we are on the road an average of 180 days per year. My question is:
Do you have a national average of meal allowances for American major cities? Or can you provide me with an average of meal allowances broken down by each city? ie: Chicago, New York, San Francisco etc.ect.?

Thanks,
Jack
PS> I've already looked at the websites you suggested to an earlier questioner.

ACTE.com

Answer
Jack,

The best resource for per diem amounts is Runzheimer International http://www.runzheimer.com/web/home.aspx
who publishes per diem. They do charge for this listing. You can also look at the US Federal government (GSA) per diem amounts at

http://www.gsa.gov/Portal/gsa/ep/contentView.do?programId=9704&channelId=-15943&...

I hope this helps!

Norm
