Question
My mother owns her mobile home and is currently struggling with her health and finances. She has ask that her daughters find out how she can sign over the title so if she passes the state will not retain the Mobile home. How do we accomplish this? Do we have to have a bill of sale or can she give it to one of her daughters by signing the title over?

Thank You,
Carol

Answer
Hi Carol...you don't need a bill of sale, but you will need Mom or a power of atty. signed on the title. Go to your states webpage, and look for HCD...(housing and community development)   You can probably download the transfer of ownership form, or call the local office and do it there...should be about $25-30.  Really quite simple...hope Mom is feeling better!  Good luck...."~ Michael
